Woodvale Pairs Class Boat
This type of boat was originally designed for the first Atlantic Rowing Race in 1997 by Phil Morrison and Spud Rowsell.
The boat was bought as a self-build kit made from marine grade plywood and constructed in the Twickenham Sea Cadets’ boat shed, taking between 500 - 600 man hours for the basic build.
The oversize airfix kit takes shape with the skeleton structure clad to form the hull.
Fore & aft cabins added with decking & gunwales completing the basic structure.
Blakes Paint provide the perfect livery for before first fitout commences.
On goes the ocean glide rails, carbon outriggers & logos enabling the boat to be prepared for the launch.
